In its third generation of owners, Finca las Vergel family boasts a rich tradition of farming using agronomically advanced methods. Cherries are harvested according to sugar content, fermentation is guided by pH and moisture is controlled during drying. Finca las Vergel is strategically located at the edge of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, a 50,000-acre tropical forest that provides rich soil and clean water. In line with its biodiverse environment, this 5-hectare estate also grows avocado and native Inga trees that provide shade and allow coffee to grow in harmony with the surrounding reserve.
