FARMER PARTNERSHIP
Along the hills that dot the Malawi countryside, this Gesha coffee is farmed by members of the Mzuzu Co-operative. Established in 2006, Mzuzu is home to nearly 3,500 farming families (25% women) from six local villages. The co-op brings a new vision to Malawi's coffee industry with its focus on gender equity. Female members are encouraged to own land and sit on the Board. Mzuzu also emphasis rural and social development, with a focus on improving food and housing security and education. When the co-op’s not improving farmers’ lives, it’s helping them produce gorgeous coffees like this one.
