This full-bodied, Guatemalan coffee promises rich caramel and peachy goodness. Hints of chocolate covered almonds hug a smooth milk chocolate mouthfeel. As the coffee cools, notes of almond brittle and an apple-like acidity linger in the finish.
FINCA LA PROVIDENCIA
This Fair Trade, high quality coffee is exclusively grown in the Huehuetenango highlands on Finca La Providencia. The Estate is located in northwestern Guatemala, high in the mountains surrounding the town of San Pedro Necta. The estate was founded in 1954 and is owned and operated by Maximiliano Palacios (Max), a third generation coffee farmer.
The heart of Finca La Providencia is a beautifully maintained mill that begins at a highpoint on the sloped property, designed to take full advantage of gravity, where the ripe cherries are placed in water and carried through the depulping process on a series of intricate canals to the drying patios below. The coffee is meticulously processed and each stage is overseen by qualified staff.
